Community Based Art Education

In this unit, Mrs. Greene, a fellow Northwest Primary School, educator  found 16 old wooden chairs of various sizes. Together we reached out to Home Depot for supply donations, while one student's family volunteered to both repair and prime each of the chairs. Over the course of five weeks’ students, their families, and other volunteers from the Rutland community worked together to turn these tired chairs into beautiful works of art that reflect positivity and individuality.
